Paul Freeman - "Chap" Bowled for us from 1981 to 2001. Club Champion 1989, 1992 & 1999. Neale Cup Winner 1988. Bowler Of The Year 1985 & 1988. Only bowler to win all three 'A' team averages in one season, W&W, Oldbury and Smethwick in 1997. In his final season (2001) he won the Warwick & Worcester Premier Division 2 league averages, it was also a club record with his plus of 165. He won the Oldbury 'A' league averages in that season with a plus of over 200. In the Smethwick averages he was runner up but still had a plus of 112. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Nigel Freeman Club Champion 1994, 1997, 2004 & 2005. Club Handicap Winner 1991, 1992, 2004, 2005. Chairmans Shield 1989. Won the W&W Premier averages in 1991, 1992, 2002 & 2005. Was club captain in 1997 when we won the Free Press Cup and came runners up in the Arthur Mitchell Cup. Has captained the Oldbury 'A' side since 2004 and won the averages in that team in 2003 & 2005. In his final season (2006) Nigel played 46 games, all of them 'A' games and won on 33 occasions. This included a performace of brilliant patience and application on The Gate. Trailing 2~18 he came back to win 21~20. When Nigel left, it ended a 70 year Freeman association with Broomfield. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Matt Barnwell Runner up on three occasions in the club championship before winning the competition in 2006. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Paul Newman, Nigel Freeman & Steve Blakeman This photo was taken after the 2004 Club Championship, Nigel had regained the trophy 7 years after his last success. It was his third apperance in the final in four years. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pete Rose His Dudley league record for Broomfield is yet to be bettered, played 58, won 44, +375. Had 8 seasons with us 1998-2005. Won the club Handicap in 2001. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
